Vegetable Processing
Problem:
Vegetable acids and cleaning solutions are very tough on bare concrete. Tough enough to deteriorate to exposed aggregate. A coating that is tough, non-skid and easy-to-clean was needed for this very aggressive environment.
Solution:
A Double Coat application of Indu-Poxy™ 100P was installed using 45-55 as the aggregate. The surface was ground with 7” Metabo grinders to remove any loose flooring and to provide a sufficiently prepped surface. After a flush, degrease and dry a layer of 100P was applied at approximately a 40mil rate. While still wet, an excess of 45-55 is broadcast over the entire surface and allowed to cure over night. The excess is brushed off the next morning and another layer of 100P is applied.
